It depends on your situation. If you require special medical attention or have a specific health condition, you may need to present a document and give advance notice.

Medical cases requiring special documentation:

M1. Persons requiring extra oxygen or other medical equipment on board

  • You must present a medical certificate justifying the need for oxygen or medical equipment.
  • You must give at least 24 hours' notice and request authorisation from the airline. You can do this using this form (PMR), by calling the call centre, or by visiting the sales offices at the airport..
  • You may bring your own oxygen cylinder if it is certified and authorised for use in flight.
  • Importantdevices such as sleep apnoea respirators are not considered oxygen on board.
  • If, once on board, you notify us that you need oxygen, you will be informed that the oxygen on the aircraft is only used in emergencies.

M2. When you need to travel on a stretcher.

M3. Premature babies

M5. Canary Islands Health Service transfers

M6. Passengers with non-contagious illnesses (acute or chronic)

  • If your illness does not pose a risk to you or others during the flight, you may travel if you have medical authorisation.
