How can I make a special value declaration for my checked baggage?

To declare the special value of your checked baggage, follow these steps:

1. Arrive early: Go to the check-in counter at least 3 hours before your flight departure.
2. Open your luggage: You must open your suitcase or bag so that we can check its contents before completing the declaration.
3. Pay for the service: The cost is 15% of the declared value and is paid as excess baggage at the Canaryfly sales office at the airport.
4. Comply with the limits:
   • The minimum value per item must be over €400.
   • The total declared value per passenger may not exceed €2,000.

Items that CANNOT be declared as special value:

• Fragile items: Cameras, electronic devices, works of art, eye devices, etc.
• Valuable: Precious metals, family heirlooms, etc.
• Important documents: Passports, shares, commercial documents, etc.
• Perishable: Food or other products that spoil easily.
• Special packages that require limited handling.
