What happens if I lose my documents or they are stolen?

If your documentation is lost or stolen, the report filed with the authorities will not serve as proof of your identity, so you will NOT be able to fly with only the report.

What to do if you do not have any valid documents on the day of your flight

  1. Go to the police, if you have Spanish nationality, to request a provisional ID card or passport.
  2. If you are not a Spanish national, contact your consulate or embassy to request a safe-conduct pass or emergency travel document.
  3. If you cannot make it in time, change your flight to a later date.

Tips:

  • Take the police report with you, along with any other valid documents. The police report is not valid for flying, but it may help with other procedures.
  • Arrive at the airport in advance and have your booking reference number to hand.
